THUNDERBIRD PIZZA BROOMALL, PA.

Most Americans have eaten alot of pizza. Some of us have never had a great slice. Some of us have never had a bad slice. More of us have had average pizza most of the time with an occasion horrible pie and an occasional fabulous pie. Same goes for steak sandwiches and you couldn't pay me to put cheese wiz on my steak sandwich. My Italian Grandfather would turn over in his grave if I promoted cheeze wiz. All you here from tourists is Pats, Ginos, cheesewiz, blah, blah, blah, well I know alot of other great places, but my new great place for a Pie and a Cheesesteak is Thunderbird .

While traveling to Rehoboth via the Blue Route I had to make a pit stop so I got off at exit 9, Rt. 3, Westchester Pike going southbound taking Rt. 3 west. Go less than a mile on your right and there it is.....Thunderbird.Hey, it's not in the city, blah, blah, blah...and I say so what, if it's good it's good and these guys give as much of the Philly feel as anybody. My son and I will start salivating 1o miles before we get their.

The other thing Dominic and I like is the ambience. There are pictures on the wall of Philadelphia Athletes, and I think mostly professional. The guys cooking behind the counter and the patrons will many times be talking sports, whether it's the Phillies, Eagles, or the Flyers. You can see all the action in the kitchen and the place is spotless. I like that, because some kitchens aren't so clean and you'll never no because you can't see the kitchen. Also, the waitresses give you great service.... with a smile. So, again the atmosphere is interesting and friendly, and if your from out of town driving up or down the Blue Route 476, and you want a taste of Philly and the ambience to boot give it a try.
